Gender- and genre-bending

Fever Crumb

Fever Crumb - Philip Reeve For some reason, I had a lot of trouble getting through the second half of the book. It was easy to see how it would end. None of the characters were particularly likable (Fever is infuriating in the beginning, even if it is technically not her fault, and then she becomes sort of dull and flat). There are some interesting elements in the world-building, but overall the book is quite uninspiring.
