I should perhaps stop reading hyped books, since they never seem to live up to my expectations. To be honest, this wasn't a bad book. It was fine. It just wasn't the most original page-turner. Also, it seemed to me that it had a lot of filler action, especially in the second half of the book (let us all trudge some more through some horrid uninhabitable place). I also found the writing to be somewhat bland and not particularly good at creating tension (it is a thriller, come on).
