Ugh. No idea what all the hype is about. I read the first 200 pages and skimmed the rest. The first 200 pages were, by the way, one giant infodump. The book is just so... unpolished. Paragraphs and paragraphs full of minute details, complete sections that contain nothing but descriptions of someone's day in which absolutely nothing happens. I understand the author died shortly after submitting the manuscript, but this novel is badly in need of some serious editing.
