Black Hills: A Novel
A wonderful book. It suffers from only one shortcoming -- occasionally it reads not like a novel, but like non-fiction. From time to time you get the feeling that Simmons inserted certain paragraphs only to display some curious fact he had unearthed during his research, to show you that he had done his homework.
